Voting Information for Pennsburg Borough Residents

  Pennsburg Borough is part of  Pennsylvania's 15th Congressional District
  (represented by Representative Charlie Dent),
  and the 24th State Senate District (represented by Representative Bob Mensch)
  and Pennsylvania's 147th Representative District, (represented by Representative Marcy Toepel).                  

 
     *Pennsburg Borough residents vote at the Open Line, 452 Penn Street, Pennsburg.

 Voter Registration Requirements
   
Before you can register to vote, you must meet the following qualifications:

  1. You must be a citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
  2. You must be a resident of Pennsylvania and the election district in which the individual desires to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
  3. You must be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
  Note:  You are not registered to vote until your application has been filled out, processed and accepted by the Montgomery County’s   registration office. If accepted, the county registration office will send you, via non-forwardable mail, a Voter Identification Card within 14 days of your application.  If you do not receive a card, you can contact the Voter Services office at 610-278-3280.

 

Registering To Vote

You can obtain a voter registration form at most public offices such as the Pennsburg Borough Civic Building, 76 W. 6th Street, the Pennsburg Post Office, 4th Street, etc. This form must be received by the Voter Services Office 30 days prior to each election. Because registration requires an original signature, it is not possible to register by fax or online.
